Many years later, I went to Dubai for a few days. My friend Mohammed took me to lunch at a restaurant on the road to Abu Dhabi.
The speciality of the restaurant was lamb chops. For a normal serving one received about half a dozen.
Having eaten and enjoyed my half dozen, plus the chips and peas, Mohammed insisted that I have another helping. The trouble with Arabs when they are offering largesse, is that you cannot stop them. Protestations do not work and I had to accept another half dozen chops. Fortunately, they were perfect and, slowly, I managed to dispose of them all without any discomfort.
One remembers meals like that.
